元はディッキー・トンプソンという人が書いた歌ですが、知名度から言ったらビル・ヘイリーのバージョンが高いと思います。まあ、20代でこの曲について研究していない人にとっては何ら変わらないかもしれませんが。

所々意訳の所はありましたが、要するに男は1人だけ、他はみんな女というなんともハーレム状態の夢を見ていた、という歌です。
バーミンガム出身で、ビートグループが飽和状態にあったイギリスを離れ、北欧やイタリアで活動したザ・レネゲイズというバンドがハードにガレージっぽくカバーしています。
