今日の洋楽
今日はボブ・ディランでアイシスです。
ボブ・ディラン作曲です。1975年のアルバム『欲望』収録曲です。
CDなどに書かれている日本語のタイトルだと「イシス」になりますが、歌われている通りに書くとアイシスとなります。
アイシスと結婚した男の冒険の歌です。結婚したにもかかわらず、ジッとしていられずに街に繰り出し、宝探しをしている相棒とともに、氷のピラミッドに探索に行きます。
「ミイラを運び出せば大金が手に入る」と言われた男は、墓を見つけますが、途中で相棒が力つき生き絶えます。一人で掘り進めてやっと棺の中を見たものの、宝はおろか何も入っておらず、その穴に死んだ相棒を埋めて、アイシスの所へ帰り、「一生一緒に居てくれや」というアイシスの願いを聞き、物語は完結します。
アルバムのバージョンはゆったりとしていますが、1975年のローリングサンダーレヴューで披露されたバージョンはテンポアップしており、ダンスチューンになりそうなアレンジになっています。
また、この歌は3/4拍子で演奏されていますが、後期ローリングサンダーレヴュー(1976年)では拍子が変わり、4/4拍子で演奏されているんです。ボブ・ディランの、ライブにおけるアレンジ違いが楽しめると思いますので、良かったらYouTubeで探してみて下さい。
