今日はジーン・クラークでシルヴァー・レイヴンです。

ジーン・クラーク作曲です。1971年のアルバム『ノー・アザー』収録曲です。

銀のワタリガラスを、平和や希望に例えているような歌です。全体的に暗い感じなので、あまり希望が持てなくなった人の歌にも聞こえます。

でも海が泣き始める時、波の向きを変えるのさ。彼らは波の向きを変えるのさ。

星の向こうにある窓から見える海が変わるのを見た事あるかい?

新しいと思われたこの古い世界が死んでゆくのを見た事があるかい?

滅多に光らない翼を持つ銀のワタリガラスを見た事があるかい?

太陽の周りを回る時は、滅多に光らないし、滅多に微かな光を放たない。

彼女の姉妹に伝えようとするのさ、彼女の試練が始まったばかりだと。
