人名ソングその2の今日はザ・ローリング・ストーンズで「悲しみのアンジー」です。

ミック・ジャガー、キース・リチャーズ作曲です。1973年のアルバム『山羊の頭のスープ』収録曲です。

アンジーの名前については色々な説が飛び交っていました。デヴィッド・ボウイの前妻だったり、キースの彼女だったりしました。キースは後年のインタビューで、娘のアンジェラというのが言葉の響きが良かったのでタイトルにした、と話しています。

死すら考える程に絶望に落とされたカップルが、何とか生きようと彼女を励ます歌です。
