今日はイメルダ・メイでビッグ・バッド・ハンサム・マンです。

イメルダ・メイ作曲です。2009年のシングルです。また、2008年のアルバム『ラヴ・タトゥー』収録曲です。

イメルダ・メイこと、イメルダ・メアリー・クラビー(Imelda Mary Clabby)は、1974年7月10日、アイルランド・ダブリン生まれの女性シンガーです。

ビリー・ホリデイに影響を受けたアイルランド発のロカビリー・シンガーです。

16歳の頃から音楽活動を始め、いくつかのバンドを渡り歩きました。2003年にファーストアルバム『ノー・ターニング・バック』をリリースしました。

2007年にアンバサダー・レコードと契約、翌2008年にアルバム『ラヴ・タトゥー』をリリースし、アイルランドのアルバムチャートで1位を記録しました。高い評価を受けて、2009年のアイルランドのメテオ・ミュージック・アワード(グラミー賞みたいな物)を受賞しました。

その後も、ソロ活動や他のアーティストとのコラボを含めて現在も活動中です。
