今日はチャック・ベリーでスクール・デイズです。
チャック・ベリーの代表曲です。ビル・ヘイリーのABC・ブギーを前にも紹介しましたが、ロックンロール全盛の時代に珍しい、学校での日々を歌う歌です。
また、歌詞だけを変えて作られたのが「ノー・パティキュラー・プレイス・トゥ・ゴー」だ、というのは有名な話です。スクール・デイズとジョニー・B・グッドがチャック・ベリーのギターリフのツートップ、とも言えます。
