今日の洋楽

今日はザ・アソシエイションでエンター・ザ・ヤングです。

テリー・カークマン作曲です。アソシエイションのファースト・アルバム『And then along comes The Association』1曲目に収録されています。

私が買ったベスト盤の曲の解説を、何とメンバーのジム・イエスターが書いていますが、この曲に寄せたコメントに対して、「シングル発売の予定もあったが、ラジオ局から『チェリッシュ』が流れて有名になって、結局ボツになった。予定通りシングル化されていたら、60年代の若者のムーヴメントのテーマ曲になってたかもしれない。」

とあります。

また、アソシエイションは1969年に公式ベスト盤を出していますが、その時にも録音をしています。
