今日はジョーン・バエズでア・ソング・フォー・デヴィッドです。

ジョーン・バエズ作曲です。1970年のアルバム『ワン・デイ・アット・ア・タイム』収録曲です。

デヴィッドとは、その当時のジョーンの夫、デヴィッド・ハリスという人物を指します。兵役逃れで拘留されていた時に、デヴィッドへのプレゼントとして、前年1969年に『デヴィッズ・アルバム』を発売しました。

「私は待つ」という事から、まだ拘留されている夫デヴィッドの帰りを待っている歌だと思われます。
