今日はザ・ローリング・ストーンズでアンダー・マイ・サムです。

ミック・ジャガー、キース・リチャーズ作曲です。1966年のアルバム『アフターマス』収録曲です。日本で独自にシングルカットされました。

Under という言葉自体に動詞の意味は無いですが、慣用句みたいな感じで、「Under ~’s thumb」で「~の言いなりになる」という意味になります。同様に、「(have got)Under ~’s skin」で「~に夢中である」という意味になります。

お前は俺に散々な事をしてきたけど、結局は俺の虜なんだろ、という歌です。
