今日はデイヴ・クラーク・ファイヴでビッツ・アンド・ピーセズです。

デイヴ・クラーク、マイク・スミス作曲です。1964年のシングルで、イギリスのチャートで2位を記録しました。

足踏みして鳴らす音をフットストンプと言いますが、ハネるようなビートが特徴的な歌です。

フットストンプといえばクイーンの「ウィー・ウィル・ロック・ユー」を思い浮かべますが、DC5は先にやっていたんですね。

歌詞の中に(I’m in pieces~)がたくさん入っているので、先にその部分の和訳を載せて、本文に行きたいと思います。
