今日は布袋寅泰でDancing with the moonlightです。

ハービー山口、レニー・ザカテク作詞、布袋寅泰作曲です。1988年のアルバム『GUITARHYTHM』収録曲です。

布袋寅泰、皆さんご存知でしょう。BOØWY、COMPLEX、また自身のソロ活動でも名を挙げている、日本が誇る名ギタリストの一人です。

布袋寅泰はギタリスト然とした人らしく、曲も尖ったものが多いのかな、という私個人の勝手なイメージでしたが、今回和訳する曲を聴いて、優しい感じの曲もあるんだ、と印象が変わりました。

思わず踊りたくなるような曲は、Hall and OatesのPrivate eyes、King HarvestのDancing in the moonlightを彷彿とさせます。

月の光の中の君を求める男の歌です。
