ボブ・ディラン作曲です。1983年のアルバム『インフィデルズ』収録曲です。

人間が地球を支配して、暴虐の限りを尽くすのを俯瞰で見て批判している曲です。

人間は考える、自分達が地球を支配して、自分の思い通りに出来ると思っている。

何も物事が変わらなければ、そうするだろう。

人間は自分の破滅を発明してしまった、

その手始めは月に降り立った事だ。

今、角に女がいて、

夜に静かになるとそこに座って言う、

「誰があいつの殺しの免許を奪ってくれるの?」

Now, they take him and they teach him and they groom him for life

連中は奴を連れ去って、教育して、奴の人生をかけて育て上げる。

病気になるのは間違いない運命にさせる。
