マーティ・ロビンズ作曲です。1959年のシングルで、カントリーチャートで5位を記録しました。また同年発売のアルバム『ガンファイター・バラーズ・アンド・トレイル・ソング』収録曲です。
マーティ・ロビンズの初期の代表曲の一つです。ニューメキシコ州のアグア・フリアという街で行われた、西部劇のようなガンマン同士の決闘を歌った疾走感溢れる歌です。
テキサス・レッドはこれまでに、20人を銃で倒した最凶最悪の荒くれ者です。そこに突如としてやって来たレンジャーが、テキサス・レッドを仕留めようとしますが、結末や如何に。
